Construction Youth Trust - Careers Talk

TCS Screeding Ltd were invited by The Construction Youth Trust recently to take part in a Careers Talk at a secondary school, relating to the different job opportunities available within the Construction Industry.

Our Procurement Team Assistant kindly volunteered taking part in two sessions with two age groups.

The first involved speaking to the Year 10 students about his own job role at TCS and how his day to day duties and responsibilities contribute to the smooth running of the companies daily activities.

The talk was followed by a team "Bridge Building" exercise and analysis discussion on the teams strengths and any possible areas for improvement.

The second session was a talk with the Year 13 students relating specifically to how to apply for job vacancies and apprenticeships and also providing finer details of the job role as a Procurement Team Assistant, his own career path so far and the further progression routes available for growth.
