About The Old War Office
The grade II listed historic Old War Office building, Winston Churchill’s base during World War II, has been transformed into a 14 Storey, 120 room, luxury Raffles Hotel, residence and spa.
The transformation features 85 modern residences, luxury apartments, health spa and 9 restaurants and bars.

TCS worked closely on the design with the architects EPR and the structural engineers Horley for 18 months prior to starting works on site, to create a new innovative approach to laying the insulation to achieve the desired floor level.
TCS supplied and installed 20,000m2 of lightweight screed, 35,000m2 of flowing screed and 6,000m2 of sand/cement and polymer modified screed as well as all underfloor heating to the new residential apartments.
In addition to the above, TCS provided a temporary boiler service to run the underfloor heating cycle through the various screeds prior to installing our smoothing compound and floor finishes.
